Experience VIU - 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, October 3, 2020

Experience VIU is an annual event that will provide potential students with an opportunity to experience Vancouver Island University and learn more about the 120+ programs that we offer (along with the many services and supports available to students). This year we are very excited to be offering this event virtually. We will be offering the same great resources that we have in the past but  taking advantage of the virtual environment to add in some fun new elements .

Discovery Day 2021 - 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, February 18, 2021

Discovery Day is our biggest on-campus event for high school students in Grades 10, 11 and 12 and will take place on Thursday, February 18, 2021. This event gives students a hands-on experience of what to expect when they enroll at Vancouver Island University.  If you can stay until the end, there is an exciting science demonstration which will include a bed of nails, a bucket launch, explosions, a ping pong cannon and more!

Discovery Day 2021 will take place on the same day that VIU is hosting the annual Skills Canada Regional Competition, an event where secondary school students compete to bring home medals in different trades, technology and skills categories. High school students can watch the competition and participate in the Try-a-Trade stations.

Discovery Night for Parents - February 22, 2021

Join us on February 22, 2021 for VIU Discovery Night for Parents - everything you needed to know to support your child on their post-secondary journey. If you’re a parent or guardian of a high school student considering post-secondary, or a parent of a first-year university student, this event is for you! At VIU, we recognize that when it comes to university, your child looks to you for guidance. We want to ensure you have the resources and knowledge you need at your fingertips to support and empower your child in their decisions.
