We look forward to welcoming you to the VIU Nanaimo campus this fall. Grad orientation is your chance to meet students from other programs and learn about everything available to you as a VIU student.

Where did you come from? Where are you know?
A brief history of our current place, a dive into Indigenous protocol, a short lesson on the Hul'qumi'num language, and an introduction to some Canadian realities.

What did you get yourself into?
What to expect in the next weeks and months from someone who knows. You’ll learn about some necessary resources and where to get help.

Learn what good leadership is, why it matters and how to gain leadership skills at VIU.

Leadership Breakout
Groups will discuss what sort of leaders are in each group and other ways they identify their leadership efforts. What aspects of leaderhsip would they like to work on at VIU?
