New Student Orientation
Kick off the first day of your VIU journey at RockVIU new student orientation on Tuesday, September 8! Explore campus, get to know your profs and meet other students in your program!
Your day kicks off with a high-energy welcome party in the gym. After that, you'll learn more about your program at your faculty sessions. The main event is the Connect Fair, a carnival-style celebration with food, games, prizes, tons of booths showcasing supports just for you and even a chance to win tuition credits. Make new friends, learn insider tips and have fun. Let RockVIU turn your first day at VIU into your first great memory!

Faculty Sessions
10 am to 12 pm
Meet your professors, connect with other students in your program, and learn more about what your faculty has to offer. Each session is designed to help you feel welcomed and prepared as you begin your studies at VIU.
Connect Fair and Community Corner
12 pm to 4 pm
Join us at the Connect Fair & Community Corner during RockVIU Welcome Week! This lively event is your chance to enjoy games, food and snacks while discovering student services, meeting community members and finding out about opportunities available to you at VIU.
